Rainsoon
What’s with the rains these days? It makes you wait for a week and then it pours enough to turn buildings into islands. And then it goes back to playing that game over again. I was hoping for a drizzling weekend so I could go out for one of my treasured long walks on Bombay’s beautiful promenades, like I do every rains. But, no such luck. Please, please, pleeeease rain by evening or this Sunday’s gone forever.

This reeks of Bombay, really. I love your wordplay - rainsoon? Lol.
Rains always bring out the 'mood' you have. People are happy, disappointed, hopeful, bothered, un-bothered, expectant, whatever, with rain. We just feel whatever we are feeling more strongly when it rains. I guess you danced, got wet and hugged the nearest cat right after? ;-)
For the most part, we love the rains and hate the puddles. Although, when we were littler we loved the rains because of the puddles. All feelings and no brains, when it rains!
Not the cat! I'm allergy-prone. lol :)
